Biography I recall being totally mesmerized by my first encounter with Belly dance and I still am!!! My journey into the world of belly dance began in Sydney in 1987. Taking classes with visiting teachers (including Sharifa and Amaya from the USA) and numerous Sydney teachers, my most inspiring teacher was a dancer by the name of Summera. After 12 months of private classes with Summera I began my professional career and my performance proved to be extremely popular. I loved the work and before long I was being booked repeatedly by the Egyptian Consulates wife and performing 6 to 10 shows a week. Winning NSW Belly Dancer in 1992 did help in becoming known as a quality performer. I still incorporate belly dancing into my life, by continuing to perform live shows and conducting a weekly belly dance class. I have learnt many belly dance gems and share these in an exercise routine for 45 minutes of my class (handouts available). The remainder of the lesson is based on the fabulous A-E, making Middle Eastern dance easy. If you are in Port Macquarie and can't make it to the class, come along on Saturday Nights at 8 pm and enjoy my performance at the Greek Tavern, McInerney Close, Park Road Port Macquarie Ph: 02 6584 0841 (next to the sailing club on the water).
