Ileana's Biography

Ileana enjoys supporting others through her work, which includes dance and fitness. She is a registered Group fitness leader & Aqua Fitness instructor, a trained Massage Therapist and previuosly a Lifeline Councellor. Her favourite role is teaching bellydance - and as a performer & costume designer she draws on skills from her former job as Senior Head Teacher in Fashion for TAFE - with over 18 yrs teaching experience.

Continuously updating her training skills, she has a Diploma in Teaching, continuing professional development in Dance Training and classical Ballet. From an Italian and Romanian background, she enjoys the cultural aspect of dance and has trained & completed workshops etc. with a variety of teachers in Sydney & overseas including Keti Sharif Magdy Elyssey Leonie Sukan, Margot McMannus & Terezka, Jrisi Jusakos, Amera Eid . Ileana dances with The Fabulous Turkish Delights & Urbanturban Sydney based Tribal style Bellydance Troupe.

Other dance forms she enjoys are Argentinian Tango, Flamenco, Street Latin, Ileana's main inspiration is to cross, fuse & create bellydance for diversity and to share in enhancing participant's health, spirit & fitness. She believes in safe dance technique and expressing one's self happily through dance celebration.
